Happy Colors — alternative hair salon in Brussels

Wear your colors loud

About Happy Colors

Welcome to Happy Colors

Founded in 2024, Happy Colors is a hair salon in Ixelles, Brussels, out to rewrite the rules of conventional hairdressing. We believe a salon can be exacting and easy-going at the same time. Here, technical expertise meets a resolutely alternative world: creative color, looks that break the mold, and an approach where every strand counts.

At the heart of the salon are artists who share one vision: hairdressing lived as an art, where technique serves creativity, never the other way around.

Color is our specialty. Not off-the-shelf color, but the color that truly looks like you, the one you have carried inside for years without ever daring to wear it. Our job is to walk you through it: lift the barriers, break down the preconceptions, and let you fully own your style.

No judgment here, no labels. Happy Colors is built as a safe space, a bubble where you get to be yourself: cool, exacting, and uncompromising all at once.

Expressive

Color for people who want to look like themselves: loud, soft, or somewhere in between.

Inclusive

Built as a safe space for every human being.

Alternative

A chair where the emo, goth and colorful are the regulars, not the exception.

Your hair is a playground, not a limit.

I've been a hairstylist for over fifteen years, specialized in creative color. I built my career in beautiful salons, notably within the Haute Coiffure Française, learning rigor and technique alongside passionate professionals.

It was in the alternative world, beyond the classic rules, that I found my true calling.

To me, hairdressing is not just a technique, it is a tool for transformation. So many clients arrive with a wish they've never voiced, out of fear of damaging their hair, or fear of what other people might think. My job is to break down those barriers and help you own your style.

As a vegan, I only work with cruelty-free products. And every appointment is entirely yours: no double booking, no race against the clock. We take the time to talk, to imagine, and to create together, in a calm and cozy atmosphere.

Ready to stop dreaming about the look and start wearing it?

Tell me your dream hair, and we'll make it happen together.

Hi, I'm Clémentine. Sixteen years behind the chair have made me love the whole spectrum, from transformative, alternative color to soft, effortless blondes, clean bleach work, foils and highlights.

What matters most to me is the person in the chair. I listen first, always, so the look we choose reflects who you really are and what you really want.

Bring me the version you think is too bold. We'll shape it into something that fits your hair, your style, and your everyday life.

I'm friendly, chatty, and genuinely curious about people, with a stack of side hobbies to prove it. If you ever feel unsure, I'll guide you through your hair journey one step at a time.

So come as you are. I can't wait to meet you.

FAQ - Policy

Answers to your questions

What payment methods do you accept?

All of our artists accept payment by QR code or cash.

What’s your policy on lateness or cancellations?

Each artist sets their own policy for lateness and cancellations. You can find the details in our booking section. If you have any doubts, feel free to contact your artist directly on Instagram.

Can I bring a friend with me?

We’d rather keep appointments one-on-one to keep things calm in the salon. But no worries if you’re afraid of getting bored: feel free to bring something to do! We’ve got Wi-Fi if you want to work or browse, or you can bring a book, put your headphones in for some music, do some crochet… whatever helps the time fly!

How do I book an appointment?

Choose your hairstylist, then reach out to them directly on Instagram, or head to our booking section to get started.

Do you cut men’s hair?

At Happy Colors, we cut hair for people of all genders. We don’t have a gendered service menu. One thing we don’t do: razor cuts (fades, tapered cuts, and similar techniques).

Do you do kids’ hair?

Yes. Bleach Please works with clients of all ages, and Ludivine Moon takes clients 18 and up.
